Dr. Anirudha earned his PhD from IIT Bombay and post-doctoral stint at the university of Miami. He brings over 20 years of post-PhD experience spanning both academia (TIGS) and industry (Aurigene & Laurus Bio). His expertise in recombinant protein production has been pivotal in advancing molecules currently progressing through Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 of clinical development in the drug discovery sector. He has also contributed to the development of smart proteins, including growth factors, carrier proteins, and non-GMO protein sources, for sustainable applications.

Prof. Emeritus Paike Jayadeva Bhat

Prof. Bhat is a former professor at IIT Bombay's Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, renowned for his research on gene regulation in yeast and his authorship of the book "Galactose Regulon of Yeast: From Genetics to Systems Biology. With a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and postdoctoral experience at Hershey Medical Center, Penn State University, he established a robust research portfolio since joining IIT Bombay in 1993. Prof. Bhat's research primarily focused on functional genomics, epigenetic regulation, and the molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases, utilizing Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism. His notable contributions include investigating the galactose genetic switch and its implications for metabolic regulation and disease. He recently founded Vidyopaasana Educational Trust to support students in government schools through exploration-based learning techniques.
